On a personal note, Belfast was cold with raging winds. I nurtured a slight suspicion that autumn may have arrived sooner than expected.
This wonderful historic city with its immense skyline and wide rolling farmlands on its outskirts (forgive the Blyton-ish aspect of it all) was watched over by hovering nimbus clouds, dark and threatening and which clearly refused to budge. Trees looked like they were ready to swing their tops off.
We have had very little of a summer in this part of the world.
Clearly, London spots stronger bursts of sunshine. Dublin is a lot more colder than England at the moment but Belfast, a lot more colder than Dublin. Just rain, rain and more rain.
