A boo-boo! - latest in The Bookseller
The Salt Lake Tribune in Utah, USA reported last Saturday on literary award wnning Wyoming novelist Mark Spragg's chagrin after being invited in January for an event to celebrate his 2nd novel, An Unfinished Life, only to be told in February, that there was a mix-up and that the award was actually meant for another author.
The award symbolises the popular Salt Lake County Library's book selection for 2007. There's censorship involved, protest local book communities of the blunder. Spragg was told that he would still be welcome for the event. "I would not come down now even if they sent me a chariot", he is reported to have told the Tribune. You may read all about it HERE.
