I dreamt of orchids today. (I wrote this last year in London)
(Here's me feeling wistful.)

DON'T YOU REMEMBER WHEN YOU BROUGHT ME FLOWERS IN SEPTEMBER AND I LAUGHED WITH A GAIETY THAT WAS INFECTIOUS WHILE PEOPLE SMILED AND MY HAIR SPILT SLIGHTLY INTO MY EYES AS I SWUNG AROUND WHEN YOU CALLED MY name AND THE SUNSHINE BLOCKED MY STARE with its teasing glare WHEN I TURNED BACK FROM A
STORE WINDOW to look at YOU and you were running to me with a posy IN YOUR HAND and a secret to tell AND IT WAS when the leaves fell on AN AUTUMN IN SEPTEMBER THERE WAS NO ROOM FOR TEARS THEN...DON'T YOU REMEMBER...OR PERHAPS IT WAS OCTOBER... HOW HARD TO TELL THEN WHEN THE FLOWERS smiled and not a single petal fell..do you know what happened ...or if you still remember...PERHAPS THEN SOMETIME IN OCTOBER OR SEPTEMBER...
I dreamt once more of orchids today.
